Oh Serin blames herself... Did the wards came down once she stepped out or did someone see her appearing out of thin air and knew. They should make an underground tunnel to lead out into the forest or somewhere safe.

Oh Sesshomaru's citizens and pups were in there hiding during the last war if I remember correctly from the story told way back. I think I understand now.

Ouch that didn't go so well and I bet Kagome thinks she might have caused a rift between them for the suggestion. They could not do it if only one agrees and I understand healing your enemies that watched your world burn to the ground gloat and now to have them gloat even more knowing they are paying for as service... I hope things work out one way or another.

Very nice update. And a little softening at the end.
At least for now everyone will have a full belly, Wonder if Sesshomaru thought about catching wilds and adding them to the stables or pens so whenever Kagome needs to purify they would be already on the grounds.
