Our Current Fundraising

For those who feel they can contribute funds to the site, please visit PayPal at the following URL:

https://www.paypal.com/

Once there, click on "Send and Request," or just "Send" at the top of the page.

From there, depending on what the site shows you (my business account shows me something totally different from my personal account!), either click on:

"Send Money to Friends or Family," then enter an amount in USD (if possible)

or

Enter an amount in USD, and, under the question "What are you sending money for?" answer "I'm sending money to family or friends."

Follow the instructions in either case, and you should receive a receipt that has my email address on it as being the person to whom you sent the funds.

Don't click on that email address, just copy and paste it into PayPal... the page editor won't let me "unlink" it!  This is the PayPal account that I've turned over to the site for its exclusive use for the past 4 years.  Since the site is still up and running, and I fully account for the funds each year, I think you might be able to trust it. ;)

In the past, we've acknowledged donations via email, as well as inserted banners into people's profiles.  This year, our three active Admins are all HORRIBLY busy with RL.  r0o is working full-time and more, DQ is busy with school (I believe), and I am working 6 to 7 day weeks, almost 10 hours per day to keep my business running.  It will not be possible for us to individually acknowledge donations this year. If you pay through PayPal, though, you WILL get a receipt from them.  If you are truly concerned about whether or not your donation was received, you can address those concerns (or any questions) to the email address above or to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Owing to these generous contributors, we managed the following in just 24 hours of sending out our plea for assistance:

$1,252.12     in overall donations
$6.85           deducted in PayPal fees
$1245.27      in net donations
$936.00       payment of past due hosting fees
$309.27       balance on hand as of 10pm EST 1/12/11

These statistics reflect what we accomplished as a community in just 24 hours... the ongoing support has been AMAZING!
