It kinda gets me annoyed when in lots of fanfics (although I still love them, mind you) Kagome has like, a 'perfect body' -- big boobs, thin waist/big hips ect. I mean, regardless of the fact that it isn't really common for Japanese women to have such a voluptuous figure, she does not look that way. c: She may have a humble chest, but she doesn't seem to have that type of hourglass figure that I've seen described oh-so many times. And, frankly, it's a little vexing. It kind of makes her a Mary-Sue physically, even if the authors gave her scars. >___>

That's the amazing wonder's of puberty.Do not forget love, Kagome is merely 15 when she starts her journey. Plus from the appearance of her clothes, it hides a lot of her curves. If you look at the actual manga itself, she is quite curvy.Depending on what fanfic it is, you have to look at the timeline of where it takes place and what reality it is in.

Although some may seem kind of "sueish" I doubt that was their aim.

Perhaps, but simply going through puberty doesn't automatically give one that type of figure. o----o

It is a growing thing, it just as I said depends on where in the storyline it is and if they are following Canon . Its much like the debate of Kagome's eyes being brown or blue, lol there is no winning side . Its just how people view it!

But that is society, it is not what you believe is perfect so why does it matter? Just see it as Kagome was blessed with the body she is given. Just like everyone else. But if you wish to read a fanfic that isn't up to the "norm" then look for an abnormal fanfic? I am currently working on a fanfic right now called Vignetted Perception, and it is about taking society's beautiful and showing the ugliness it holds. It is a rated MA fic, but it isn't the "norm".

Although I am sure I am not the only one with a fanfiction out there like this. I'm sure if you look there is more
