Fanart Uploading Errors 10 Years, 1 Month ago

I've been trying to upload my drawbles from last night's GMDDN and I keep getting an upload error that says: Filename bad, or unable to copy uploaded image to originals directory It doesn't seem to matter what I name the file. I'm not sure what the issue is. The file is a jpeg so it's no different from the other one I uploaded last night before the server went down for the rebuild.

Give it another shot. It looks like the permissions were off. I just changed them so see if that helps at all.

Yeah, I see that. It doesn't seem to be uploading them for some reason. The names seem fine for the most part. I'll debug it when I get a chance to later on.

Yeah, they didn't really "restore" things, as much as just dump data back... File size for upload is now back to 10MB ... it was 2MB max size. So I'm guessing that the image you were uploading was larger than that, and the gallery code doesn't do any file size checking; Just assumes it'll be okay.
Try again when you get a chance.

I haven't tried uploading another image since we last tried, but I wanted to let you know that one of the images I uploaded just before the site rebuild seems to have become stuck since I can't delete it and the picture didn't load. I re-uploaded the image fine, but I can't delete the old one for some reason.

i was going to ask if it was too big...
Mithy I'm not sure if making it 10mb's is good, there's a LOT of art, and i have no idea what that size would allow for on DB-sama. If it's all good then i have no issues I'm not very technical but yeah it might have been file size.

The file in question is only 2mb and the new one uploaded fine. I just hate to waste space with the broken one. I'd delete it myself if it'd let me. It might be weird because I uploaded it just before the rebuild. It might have messed with it, but I don't really know to be honest.

10MB is the max size for PHP to accept an upload. For the site itself, it's limited to 2.5MB.
