This is really bugging me. I can't remember the title or author but..

Kagome is stuck on the side of a cliff after a bird youkai attacked her. After killing the bird, Sesshoumaru sits above her and eats it. They have quite the conversation on if he should save her or not. Then when she is safe, he won't let her go. Their powers merge? and create a circle of spring growth? that Sesshoumaru claims that they are a match for each other.
