Opposition to slowly updated multiple fanfics? 8 Years, 10 Months ago

So I posted before about being attacked by multiple plunnies on a different board
and I wanted to try posting a few of them on the borrowed muse board...
but I just can't bring myself to give them up.
I love writing and know I can spin them pretty well,
so my head won't let me give them up.
I'll be working on my main SK FF
and then a new plot device for one of the other plunnies will roll right through bulldozing my main focus.
I would just make them oneshots to get them out of my system,
but they demand chapter stories.
I would also just make them into a drabble series
but they wouldn't allow for that either.
I would consider putting them on the back burner as Chie offerered
but if they don't get attention they take over my other fanfics.
Not to mention they would probably never get posted if I waited and that would probably make me even more sad.
Bottom line...I got issues.

So my question is how opposed to multiple ongoing FFs by one author are people?
I may update slow but I don't quite write slow.
The slow updates are mostly due to my mostly mobile status
and the wait time on my betas.
Not that I'm complaining.
My betas are absolutely wonderful.
So opinions?
p.s Sorry for spamming the FF help forum I should really just make one post for all my questions -__-'

As long as they are updated, I'm not opposed to multiple stories going.
Personally, when the plunnies attacked me in a swarm, I wrote the stories (as long as that pluunie attacked) then simply saved it to the computer. The little buggers would stop harassing me if I got some of the story out of my head. But I tend not to publish unless a story is done or close to done.

OMG YAS!
Thank you for such a wonderful third option!
I'm sure the plunnies would appreciate that much more
than being passed on or shelved.
<3
Another wonderful thing about that method is I can spend time finding beta's for them as I publish the one.

Glad to give an idea. I have about 4 stories partially written because of ideas that drove me nuts, but am mainly focused on another story. Occasionally, inspiration for a 'sleeping story' hits and I can just pull it up an add to it. It's good this way to because it gives you a chance to keep an idea out for possible plot holes and such.
I also keep one document of just ideas. They are generally just a paragraph or 'what if' statements that a plunnie might feed on someday.

Very good point.
&& Yeah I actually keep a doc for the same reason xD
I also have specific story docs for the story details, plot devices, rough timeline, and outlines. :3
