Could someone take a minute to tell me how I'm supposed to clean modern soft screen/flat screen monitors and television screens? When my boss got a new monitor at work, say about five or ten years ago, she sternly told me not to clean or even touch the thing. It is now disgusting. I've just been dusting the ones at home. That just can't be right, can it? There has to be a way to clean the danged things... It's 4:51 in the morning, and I've been in cleaning mode for about three frenzied hours, and I've just about run out of other things to clean...

A damp cloth works just fine if you are trying to clean off finger print smudges and whatever else may have splashed on the screen. Microfiber cloths, like the ones they sell with iPad accessories and even for cleaning eyeglasses, are soft enough that they will not scratch the screen.

There are any number of cleaning kits and wipes that you can get that are specifically designed for cleaning electronics, most of which are located in the electronics department of any store, but I don't really bother with them.

I use a piece of a very old T-shirt (you know the ones we all have that are very old and soft ) and dampen it with window cleaner then wipe the screen clean. I clean all our stuff using this method, phones, flat screen TV, Galaxy Pad, ect.
