The closest I've come to tears in ten years. 12 Years, 3 Months ago Karma: 76
I had seen this anime some time ago, watched it and didn't remember it that well just that it was one of those really bitter sweet shows. I watched it again on netflix and for the first time in, no joke, ten years, I almost cried. It's really weird, my throats all choked up and my eyes kind burn. It's a really strange feeling but that anime was so fulfilling.

It's called Angel Beats by the way. Thirteen episodes of epic, the end of episode ten was almost as bad as the end of episode twelve and thirteen.

Both my husband and I were bawling at the end of Ano Hana, he'll even admit to that.

Ano Hana wasn't that sad to me. It was really good though.

Shockingly enough, as negatively as she's often been portrayed in many a fanfic, it was Kikyou's final death in Inuyasha: The Final Act, especially the scene where Kaede cries after she sees her soul bidding her a final farewell. They were sisters after all.

I've not actually seen The Final Act. I've read the episode descriptions online but could never bring myself to actually watch it. The first hundred some episodes killed the show for me.

It wasn't tragically sad, but it was just the melancholy of it I guess. It is a great series, has a good theme song too

Ano Natsu was pretty good and had a melancholy ending that turned out to be really nice. You should give it a try.

I cried a little too. He was so vulnerable and hurt. Poor guy.

I wish you luck with that, like I said. It's on Netflix, which is the dubbed version. Other then that I don't know. I use one of those add-on programs that watched two or three dozen sites for anime I want to watch.
