Hairann (Chapter 3) - Thu 16 Oct 2008

Mikaela (Chapter 1) - Thu 16 Oct 2008
*loads gun*
You'd better update soon, dear, or I'll get you.
lol jk
I loved the chapter! Perfect everything, even cliffhanger. Though that was incredibly mean, by the way...
Update when you have time, dear :D I can't wait :P
twiknham (Chapter 3) - Thu 16 Oct 2008
Akumi, I love the little details (like the label on the movie). Very great story so far. Yoshi is awesome!
Only question she got there at 1am and left with the sun rising. How long was she there? It seemed like only a few minutes.
Nobody (Chapter 3) - Thu 16 Oct 2008
what? Four weeks? Ah my gosh! Ok love you!
Vicky (Chapter 2) - Sat 11 Oct 2008
omg...this fanfic is so sad. I hope Kagome will be able to get back on her feet soon.
Traell (Chapter 1) - Wed 08 Oct 2008
Good good and even more good. :P Alternate Universes are hard to do and you do it very well ^.^. Good grammar ,and structure as well. Update update and even more update.
my god i want to cry so much right now. i almost want to scream at you to make it better, but it was so complex and extremely well written, it was amazing. and tragic. i hope you continue this. -r0o
Clover_babe (Chapter 2) - Wed 01 Oct 2008
wow.
you certainly know how to let the water works flow.
like fo sho.
that was just pure talent and im touched and hooked by this masterpiece that you have written. its just written so amazingly with great depth and tone to it that it just makes me so emotional.
you've made me pour out more emotions than i have when watching "The Notebook."
it was just spectacular. and i love the songs that you chose to put in here. it fits the plot like a key to a lock.
i hope you update soon. until then, i'll just be re-reading this.

It's beautiful, and I certainly see what you mean by abuse....and surprisingly, it's not too far from mine. :)
The plot is good..well, I wouldn't say there's much of a plot in terms of story (or at least, not yet...but it's early days so I'm impatient to read more), but in terms of a catalogue of emotions and psychological changes....well, I haven't often come across something like this, which is kudos to you. It's thoughfully written, and while it is brutal, in a way, yes, it's also riddled with enough hope to keep the reader's interest alive.
Youy've etched both characters, no....all the characters wonderfully, but I do have a slight problem with Sesshoumaru. The reasons for his treatment of Kagome are understandable, Sesshoumaru being Sesshoumaru. But the events that trigger it seem to me to be unsatisfactory and don't warrant such behaviour from him.
The kind of demon Sesshoumaru is, he'd probably tell his father to shut his hypocritical trap. There is no way he would alter himself that way on a whim of hs father's...he's just not that easily controlled, especially when he knows that his father's just reacting against the world in general after Izayoi's death.
But if you were to show Sesshoumaru at meetings, parties, and important conferences, where other demons of low and high stature would be hinting at Kagome's ignorance of demon high society, and how it brought dishonour to his name and his family...well, I think that would make his abuse of her more rational. Sesshoumaru would never abide his father doing an about turn like that, but with people who he works with, and who he will lead in future...I think he would crumble in the face of their assualt, especially if the assault were to continue for a somewhat prolonged period of time.
Just my opinion...you're welcome to do what you like with it. But I like the story, overall, and can't wait to read more.
Zyren (Chapter 2) - Thu 25 Sep 2008
oh akumi! you have such a way with putting emotion of paper in a way that they are not only read but FELT. not very many can do that but you heve succeeded.
"The point is there is no point. If i knew the point there wouldnt be a point to have." this line is so going into my arsenal of phrases to use went i want to throw someone off lol. i love it. Sesshoumaru is totally in Foamy Mode, "I am lord and master, you all are bastards." so mean to Kagome, you really touched on some hard truths will this one. actions do speak louder than words. It is not words but actions that tell the truth and even when the actions lie they are still believed before words. I know it is the hardest thing to do, to leave someone you know you love but who is not treating you right, to finally reach that breaking point where love is simply not enough. Im glad you made Kagome strong enough to leave, although i am deeply saddened by her miscarriage and i truly cant imagine the pain one must go through having lived through that. But your mastery of words certianly made sure it jerked on the heart strings though!
so do keep up the good work and i will keep and eye out for it!
P.S. i totally didnt mean for this to get so long! lol
Akay (Chapter 2) - Thu 25 Sep 2008
*wipes tears* You have such a way with words and it didn't help none that while I was reading the second chapter I was listening to this song that I have no idea what the lyrics mean, but it sounds so very emotional. I agree with everything Zyren said. And I now understand why you were so emotional while writing this. Some parts made my stomach knot up and heart clench and eyes water and... well just had me wanting to hug Kagome. It took me a while, but I think that's just how I am with long stories, I pace myself because I don't want to end up rushing through it and missing something important. So sorry for it taking me so long. You can stop staring me down. I will now officially keep up with it. Can't wait to see what happens next. Yes, your boyfriend was very mean for what he said. Good job Akumi.
Adria Li (Chapter 2) - Wed 24 Sep 2008
Oh, my. This is very emotional (for lack of better words). There are so many feelings in a single chapter: love, rejection, sadness, anger, etc. Anyways, I want to see what you, Akumi-san, have in store next for us readers. "Love Yourself" is a really good story.
well... dang. now I'm all depressed... but it is a really good story though. I can't wait to see how it's all going to play out.
wawa (Chapter 2) - Tue 23 Sep 2008
Wow Akumi that was really good! Sesshoumaru's father is a jerk and so is Sesshoumaru for listening to him!
FleetingDream (Chapter 2) - Mon 22 Sep 2008
Oh I thank you for continuing this story. It's a very well written tale and I loved the emotions in this chapter. Update soon please!
