The visit from Shippo was much needed and hopefully she will continue to heal herself and open up to him. I feel bad for Inuyasha but he made that bed. Sounds like Kikyo keeps him on a short leash. 

Beautiful chapter. I loved the gift of kimonos. Seeshomaru is being so patient. My heart breaks for them both. What has happened to her reiki I wonder? What has blocked it? Sigh, thst guy...did he cause her to miscarry? So nice that Shippo was there. 

Thank you for the great update. There was a lot to unpack from this chapter. I enjoyed the backstory about Sesshomaru and the Prince. I loved how the chapter ended too. I can't decide if Sesshomaru will take Kagome's request with ease or get angry by it. She seems to really be indirectly fighting Sesshomaru to let his youkai instincts have a role in their relationship. I wonder if that will have some kind of side affect since a being can suppress themselves but so much. Even the king of self control has a limit and I feel his feelings regarding Kagome's ex would be the thing to cause him to crack...plus I'm having a really hard time understanding why she would want to protect that guy anyway. From the last time he was mentioned I get the sense that was not the last time we heard from him....as usual there is a lot going on and it is great how the different plot lines go together.

She's had a bad time of it in the past. Hope she can be honest and open up to him soon and stop beating herself up. 

This was a beautifully written chapter. I loved all the little interactions between them. They really are just getting to know each other. The descriptions of the village and the inn are lovely. I would be in heaven there. 

Omg left me hanging in best way possible. I have no idea what he will say!!! Which means how good of writer you are. Omg kiss already the slow burn is starting to hurt. The amazing patience sesshomaru has is so heart warming and Kagome trauma it all seems to real. So in love with this story. 

Wonderful chapter. I had reread the previous chapter twice when you mentioned the box only to find it in this chapter. Another layer of mystery to Kagome's background. Beautiful descriptions of the countryside. I think I need that bathroom! Interesting reaction from Inuyasha.

Please, a lot more fluff in the next chapter! I feel so sorry for Sesshomaru. He is so incredibly patient and loving, practically a saint, and still Kagome is not able to trust him, not even accept a simple gift without suspecting a trap of some kind. He does not deserve that. I must say that Kagome's logic escapes me here - after all, when accepting a marriage of convenience, she must have known that she is taking the role of a wealthy businessman's wife who is supposed to share his home and money and to be presentable when required to attend social events with him. It would be common courtesy to wear a dress of his liking,  and still she is behaving like someone is trying to poison her! So sad.  Still, I love this story soooo much. I think I will need to binge-read it from the beginning while waiting for the next chapter! 

Such sweetness. I was hoping she'd ask for a kiss! 

I really enjoyed this so much and cried again but it's so beautiful to see kagome very slowly  start to change for the better. Your writing is so well written for you to have many stories going at once. Thanks again for another amazing update 

You can definitely tell that they are attracted to each other. But, when do you suppose intimacy will come into play? I'm eager to see them grow close as a couple and have children. 

It makes sense for him to be this way because it's such a new environment, one he wasn't written for and one that is incomprehensible to most. It's not so much cowardice as it is fear.

This was an extremely difficult chapter to read. I took weeks to even start it because I knew it would be upsetting. I do thank you for skipping most of the details, my imagination is vivid enough. It's horrific and I'm glad to be done with this - that the band-aid is off so we can move forward.

Here's hoping they can move towards healing and lots of couple and individual therapy, because they desperately need it.

This story is so sweet! I love it. Can't wait to see how their relationship develops now.
