The Reason...
"Why? Why did you do this to me Sesshomaru?" Kagome yelled trying not to cry. It was to hard knowing that her one true love was cheating on her with her best friend, Sango. (A/N please don't kill me!!! But everyone uses Kagura so I decided to use Sango sorry)...
Sango was scrambling around trying to get her clothes back on. While Sesshomaru was trying hard to find something to say. As soon as he was about to say something Kagome put her finger to his lips and said more quietly, "How many times have you..." She trailed off, but Sesshomaru new what she was asking.
"Twice... This year" He said quietly. He knew he hurt her and he hurt her many more times then today but no matter what she always came back, but somehow he knew this time if she left she would be gone for ever.
Kagome caught the 'This year' part and wondered how many times before this year he did considering this year just started, it was February 5th 2007.
"So what, did you do a girl every month or something?" Kagome asked spitting the words out like venom.
Sesshomaru was quiet, he didn't want to hurt her anymore. He hated seeing her cry. He had changed he knew it having sex with Sango was just a test to see if he felt anything when he did it with someone other then Kagome, and he didn't feel anything hunger, wanting, passion, love, lust, nothing.
"I see" said Kagome just above a whisper. Kagome turned around to walk out the door but Sesshy grabbed her arm.
"Kagome wait! I'm sorry it was a mistake I promise. I, I, I love you!" Sesshomaru said desperately
Kagome waited so long to hear those words come out of his mouth, but now that they where out she hated it and hated him for everything!
"SO YOU THINK YOU CAN HAVE ME BACK! IS THAT IT!" she screamed right into his ear.
"WELL LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING SESSHOMARU... You are worst then Inuyasha" Kagome turned on her heel and stormed out of the room.
Sesshomaru was hurt, not only did her hurt the woman he loved but she compared him to that nasty thing called a human. And what Inuyasha did to Kagome was worst than anything he did.
"Kagome I love you" Sesshomaru whispered convincing himself that he would get her back.
*****3 years later...*****
Kagome was driving like a mad man to the hospital just 5 minutes away, the words the doctor spoke to her keep replaying in her mind.
"Miss. Kagome Higurashi. Sesshomaru Tashio is in a brutal situation, he doesn't have much longer to live. But he wishes to speak to you one last time, please come down like I said, he doesn't have much longer."
Kagome began to cry as she stopped the car and ran to the sliding doors of the hospital.
She saw the doctor talking to one of the nurses then turn towards her.
"Kagome Higurashi?" he asked
"Yes, is he ok?" she asked wiping away her tears so when she saw him he wouldn't see her crying, she still cared for him deeply just couldn't tell him, he hurt her so bad, and she still couldn't forgive him.
"He is in room 203, he is in a very bad state and we don't think he will make it for another 2 hours. I am very sorry"
Kagome walked away towards room 203. as she came close she stopped in front of the door, he looked horrible he was bleeding on his face it looked like his arm and leg where broken, the doctor said before that he broke some ribs to. 'It was a drunk driver that did this to him' She thought bitterly while walking into the room.
She sat down next to the bed and looked at him while he slowly turned his head towards her.
"Kagome" he said, it sounded like he was struggling just to get out the words.
"Sesshomaru I'm.." Kagome started when Sesshomaru but a finger next to her cheek and rubbed it lightly.
"Shhh. Don't be scared for me" he coughed very hard when he said that.
"Sessho don't talk you will hur.."
"Stop talking I need to tell you something" he said squinting. He looked to Kagome to see If she would stop, and she did.
'I'm not a perfect person
There's many things I wish I didn't do
But I continue learning
I never meant to do those things to you
And so I have to say before I go
That I just want you to know'
"I'm not a perfect person, there's many things I wish I didn't do." Sesshomaru started then took a breath to keep from coughing.
'I've found a reason for me

'I'm sorry that I hurt you
It's something I must live with everyday

By this time Kagome was trying so hard not to cry, everything that Sesshomaru said she could tell he was telling the truth and it cut her heart out to know she was losing him.
'The Reason is you'
It replayed in her head.
'The reason is you'
'Ya the reason is you'
Sesshomaru took a deep breath he needed to finish, to let Kagome know he was truly sorry.
"I never meant to do those things to you
And so I have to say before I go
That I just want you to know"
'I'm not a perfect person

Kagome was screaming to the gods to save her one true love at this time over and over again asking for a blessing.
'I've found a reason for me
To change who I used to be

and the reason is you'
The last words Sesshomaru said hurt the deepest, not because he was being nasty but because he was telling her the truth and Kagome always pushed him away after what he did to her.
"I've found a reason to show A side of me you didn't know A reason for all that I do
And the reason is you. I love you Kagome I always have and always will" That was the last thing Sesshomaru said before his body went limp and the line went dead.
One single tear fell from Kagome's eyes as she remembered what he said.
'I've found a reason to show
