The Truth, Then Love
Chapter 1
She used to be a happy girl. You know, the one that loves her grandmother, the one that gets too many B's, the one that people play with, the one that loves anybody, the one that makes helpless reports on homeless people trying to save them or something.
She was Kagome Nayuki Kan. She was the light of the family. Well, to one side of the family anyways. You might have noticed her last name was Kan. A Chinese name to say the least. A Chinese name. Meaning her father's side of the family was Chinese.
She was a Disgrace. She was unwanted. She never noticed. She always went to China to visit her father. She was too naive to suspect the beautiful young woman beside her father that were always nice. The ones that would always change over years. The ones that braids her hair and ties her long black silky hair with colorful ribbons that felt like silk. The ones that sometimes even design her room in China. She never questioned. She trusted her father. His reason was right, they were just some friends, right? She guessed that she was just pushing away the truth. She learned something one day when she walked out the fog of comforting lies that her father had planted in her mind. No matter how far you push the truth away, it will always come unsuspectingly back. Sometimes there was too much proof, sometimes there was one thing that can let the ugly truth rush back to you like a tornado. A scary tornado. A tornado full of feelings. That tornado will rush to you, the disastrous winds destroying the perfect life. She learned something. No matter how powerful those lies are, one day the truth will come to you, either for better or worst. They will come to you, maybe in a few months, maybe in a few years, twenty years, thirty years, forty years, fifty years, maybe even when you just die. It will always come back, no barrier can stop it. No lie can consume it. It isn't a dream anymore, it is reality.
It began one day in summer. When Kagome was nine. She was still loyal to her father then. She is still now, but the loyalty was more fake.
Flash-Back:
"Mama. Don't cry. Nothing is going to happen to me."
"I understand, my baby. It just seems so scary, so sad that your going to leave me for a whole summer." Kagome's face scrunched up as she heard her mother say her nickname. She used to love it, but she was in third grade! "Mama!" Sayuri Nayuki smiled at her daughter.
"Please Miss.Nayuki, the child must get a supervisor at once. It takes about one hour to register a unaccompanied minor." Sayuri nodded as they proceeded to the unaccompanied minors room.
Kagome didn't question why the nice man called Mommy, "Miss"...
End of Flashback
That summer Kagome boarded a comfortable United Kingdom flight and flew to China, passing Chicago and some other countries she had no name for. The flight was fun. Just like last year and the year before. The 'Plane Ladies' were dressed in short skirts and tight navy blue tops as uniforms and always had a sweet smile on there one hundred layered make up covered face. There voices dripping with sweetened honey that had the impression of a whore. But of course, Kagome liked 'em, cause they were pretty...
She always somehow made friends. Some were one fifty, and some that were younger then her. She held on to her Kokeshi (Spelling?) doll that her obasan made for her. Her Nia Nia never gave her anything comforting, they always came from her mom's side of the family.
When she got there, her father was with another pretty lady. This one she never saw before. She had short brown hair and dark black eyes black as coal. Behind her father came the peeking head of Kikyou.
"Kikyou!" Kagome screamed delightfully as she ran towards her twin sister.
"Kagome..." Kikyou smiled. "We could talk in the car. Dad got a new one. You know, a car with four wheel drive!"
"What!"
"Don't worry! This one has fresh air that was just cooled off air conditioner. Dad made it just for you. It was bought with one thousand Yuan(Not Yen, Yuan. This is in China, not Japan.)!"
"Good. You just reminded me of that little puppy that was in the car. He got just as car sick as I got!"
"Ewww! Don't remind me! It puked all over my foot!"
"Don't call the dog it, his name was Xing Xing."
"I don't know what is with you and animals, it's like your a animal your self of something."
"Is not!"
"Is too!"
"Is not!"
"Is too!"
"Is not!"
"Is no-"
"Come on girls, can't you two not fight until the end of this trip? You know, when we get home." Yue (Yue means 'moon' in Chinese. Another proof that Japan is old Chinese!!!) Kan said as he sighed and pointed towards the parking lot that was just beside the tall airport.
"Ya, I still don't get how you could get air sick just by being in a car, and the car wasn't even moving!" Kikyou said smiling.
Kagome just stuck out her tongue out childishly.
