Prologue

eah, I know I should be working on Church Bells, but I've been playing around with this idea in my head for weeks and decided I had to write it. I'm taking a bit of creative license with moving Kagome out of Japan, but being creative is what fan fiction's all about, right? So I hope you enjoy it and this part is going to be really short.

"I can't believe your parents are moving you all the way to the states" Sango told Kagome as she hugged her tightly. "Yeah, I know it's horrible. I'm going to be all alone in a whole new School and a whole new country" Kagome told her friend. "Yeah Kagome-chan, it won't be the same here without you" Shippo said looking sad, and then they immediately all burst into tears. "Geez" Miroku said from the side "I mean I'll miss you Kagome, but we can still all write and talk on the computer." "Miroku, you're such an idiot. We might not see Kagome for years" Sango yelled tears in her eyes. "No, Miroku's right. I'm leaving in 10 minutes, we should try and be happy" Kagome said forcing a smile. "Kagome it's time to leave" Sota yelled at her. "Oh, I'm going to miss you guys" Kagome said hugging each of them and walking slowly to the car, head hung looking like she was headed to a funeral.

"Now arriving in Orange County, California. Please buckle up your seatbelts for landing" a voice said throughout the airplane. Kagome buckled her seatbelt and prepared to land. She had spent most of the flight thinking about her friends back home in Japan. The flight landed and Kagome and her parents got off the plane. They went to the luggage pick up and got their belongings. Then her dad got them a taxi and they arrived at the house where they would now live in at Newport Beach.

Over the next few weeks they got the house furnished and signed them up for school. Both Sota and Kagome would be attending Newport Academy, Sota in the Elementary School division and Kagome in the division for the Middle School. Kagome truthfully wasn't very excited, but at least she would still be wearing a uniform just like at her old school in Japan. Except the uniform here was a dark blue skirt, a white top and a dark blue jacket, with a red tie. Sota's was pretty much the same except with pants instead of a skirt. The worst part, in Kagome mind at least was the fact that she would have to make a whole new group of friends and no one would ever be as good as her old ones.

Ok, this is really short, but it's just a prologue and Sesshoumaru is going to show up in the next chapter. Please R&R, criticism is welcomed. Hope you liked it even though it's pretty short.
