The One Path of Many Part 2 by whitetiger148
Revealed Secret
Lightning echos in the sky as rain heavily fell on the roof of the temple. Kagome sat on the porch it was the middle of the night, her daughter was 15 yrs old and yet thanks to the jewel in her side she hadn't aged a bit her brother lived with his family in the house she stayed in the temple with her daughter. Her mother died 5 yrs ago when Terra was 10. She heard footsteps seeing her daughter standing in the doorway in her Miko cloths which where like her own. Dark blue pants and a white top, she had her black silver tint hair pulled back into a braided pony tail, she had soft blue eyes yet she had her fathers temper which was always humorous.
"Mother you could not sleep either." Kagome looked at her daughter and smiled. "Terra, it is not that I can not sleep but this storm is not normal." Terra nodded sitting on the dry steps with her mother. "I thought i was imaginating things but if you feel something strange too then I'm not going crazy like I thought." Kagome laughed softly wrapping an arm around her daughters shoulders as the looked at the sky. "Mother?" Kagome looked at her smiling. "I can't stop thinking about something...I over heard you and Uncle Souta arguing a long time ago and its been troubling me majorly." Kagome frowned trying to remember when she argued with Souta then she remembered an argument she had nearly 5 yrs ago. "You heard one of our arguments." Terra nodded sighing. "I didn't mean to listen in on it but I just had to hear it after i heard uncle Souta say your other three children." Kagome sighed kissing her daughter on the head. "Yes ask your question?"
Terra sighed a little and looked out into the rain at the God Tree. "Tell me about my father and who he was, My siblings and who they where?" Kagome closed her eyes each of their faces coming to her memory. "Your had on sister and two brothers. Rin your adopted sister, Shippou was also adopted but he was still your brother...then there is Kai your oldest brother he looked more like his father but had my calm temper, unlike you heheh since you look like me i kind of figured you have your fathers little short temper." Terra laughed a little nodding slightly. "I know I know you say it all the time...but who is my father?" Kagome looked back at the God Tree. "Its hard to believe how long ago it was but it seems that we where destined to be apart since I end up in this time away from him. You are half dog demon however you have the blood of a very powerful and well respected demon. His name is Sesshoumaru..." Before Kagome finished. "NO WAY."
Terra heard stories in her history class in Mythology about a Powerful Dog Demon Sesshoumaru who ruled over the Western Land. "How could you be so mean mother to say such a cruel thing to me?" Kagome looked at her frowning. She had trained Terra in the ways of the sword like her father and yet she did not realize that she had a powerful spell hiding her true appearance. Kagome stood up looking down at her daughter who had gone to school and was graduating 2 yrs above her class. "You have your father's skill in the art of the sword. Haven't you noticed your unnaturally fast and strong for a human 15 yr old." Terra shook her head a little. "I saw how strong you where and your human." Kagome laughed softly. "I am nearly 50 yrs old and yet I look as if i'm only 20 yrs old. You remember the conversation you over heard with your uncle right. I have a jewel in me that has fused with my body for good so it will not be taken again. lt has given me the body of a young person for all eternity." Terra shook her head standing up. "Your a Priestess and you call your daughter a half demon creature how could you mother?" Kagome shook her head still smiling. "Come with me my Terra you wanted the truth you'll recieve it." Kagome walked into the rain toward the God tree a small aura formed around her and the rain didn't touch her. Terra senced something powerful about her mother something she missed all this time.
Terra followed her mother out to the God tree and stood there watching her come. "How will the God tree show me anything?" Kagome smiled gentle placing her hand on the base of the tree trunk. "This tree is the oldest and knows the story of many tales." Kagome closed her eyes and smiled a little more. "It has seen many things and knows all that has happen since it came to be." Kagome sighed happily looking at Terra. "What I say is true Terra but so is your oldest brother and Shippou was a Kitsune demon...your sister was a human however she was very smart." Kagome looked at the god tree still smiling remembering them. "I'm not sad I don't have them however I do miss them. But where they are now I know for a fact they are happy and living well." Terra looked at the God Tree. "I'm half demon?" Kagome place a hand on her daughters cheek. "Do not be ashamed that you are. Your uncle was half demon." The spell on Terra broke revealing strangle black soft black dog ears and her nails grew longer and her eyes had a silver tint to them. "Mother?" Kagome sighed gentle as she watched the rain grown heavy, a dark power was in the sky and she knew it sensed her and her daughter. "It was a long time ago when it happened but come inside and I shall tell you when it began." Both entered the house Kagome knew they where being watched but said nothing. Dark green eyes glowed from the shadows of the trees. "So the Priestess lives."
