Chapter 1 The Smell of Blood

Authors note: Hey this is my first fanfic so try to be nice flames welcome but don't just say stuff that is mean and not tell me how to fix it. Okay thanks hope you all like it onto the fic.

"Inuyasha do you sense that?" Kagome asked.

"Yea I sense it." Inuyasha said."

"It's really strong." Sango said.

"And it's unnerving." Miroku said.

Inuyasha started to growl.

"What is it Inuyasha." Kagome asked.

"I can smell my bastard brothers blood a long with the scent of the hated Nekos."

"What?" Kagome asked.

"Lets go and check it out." Miroku said.

"WHAT?" Inuyasha yelled, "Its Sesshoumaru were talking about he can take care of his own dam self."

I'm sensing Jewel shards and a lot of them at least five." Kagome said.

"Well that changes everything lets go." Inuyasha said.

"Dam my vision starting to blur." Sesshoumaru thought as he lifted his sword to try to kill another Neko, but dam they were just to fast or was it from the loss of blood.

It didn't matter though he would most likely be killed in the end. It was better for him to end this way than the pitiful way his father died saving a mortal. It was just a disgrace for such a powerful taiyoukai like his father to die saving the life of a hanyou and a mortal woman.

A sharp pain shook him out of his thoughts as two arrows found there mark one in his side the other in his rib.

He pulled the arrow out of his side and sniffed it.

Dam it was poisoned he should be immune to poison but wasn't so sure since this was the first time he came across this type of poison.

He tried to pull the one impeded in his lower right rib but it was too painful to touch. He growled out in frustration he Sesshoumaru the taiyoukai of the Western Lands could not handle a little pain.

About a foot from Sesshoumaru two Neko youkai where coming in for the kill when a hayama arrow came flying out from the woods.

Sesshoumaru, on his knees, was looking to see who had shot the arrow.

He didn't have to wait to long seeing as Inuyasha came running out of the forest.

Just what I needed Inuyasha to see me in this state. Sesshoumaru thought.

He mentally growled at himself for being so dam weak in the face of his brother.

Inuyasha kaze no kizued the hell out of the remaining Neko's that he could see.

The rest fled for their lives, but Inuyasha didn't go after them instead he turned and picked up the jewel shards that one particularly strong Neko youkai had then he turned to face his brother.

"Well, well, well, I got some jewel shards and I get to kill you."

"SIT", Kagome yelled, activating the prayer beads which slammed Inuyasha into the ground.

Kagome then stepped between him and Sesshoumaru.

"What the hell did you do that for WHENCH?" Inuyasha yelled when the spell wore off.

"I did it because Sesshoumaru is hurt and he needs our help."

"What you want to help him! Why the hell would we help him for?" Inuyasha asked pretty angry at this point.

How could Kagome be so dam forgiving all the time.

"Because he's hurt and he needs our help."

"Hell no wench, were not helping him." Inuyasha yelled.

"Inuyasha", Kagome said in her sweet voice.

Inuyasha ears immediately went flat against his skull.

"SIT BOY" Kagome yelled.

Inuyasha immediately fell unceremoniously to the ground.

Kagome kneeled down and said, "Inuyasha I know you may not like Sesshoumaru but he's wounded and I would do this for anyone who needed our help please do this for me."

Inuyasha yelled, "so would you help Naraku?"

"No, Sesshoumaru isn't like Naraku." Kagome yelled back at Inuyasha.

"Alright but if Sesshoumaru does anything in anyway to hurt you I swear to you I will kill him." Inuyasha said baring his fangs.

"Okay, Inuyasha but in his current state he won't be hurting anyone for a while."

During this time Miroku, Sango, Shippo, and Kirra just watched speechless.

Sesshoumaru was coming in and out of consciousness just laying against a tree semi listening to what Kagome and Inuyasha argued about.

He was startled out of his semi conscious stupor by Kagome who was kneeling by his side he let out a slight warning growl that sounded more like a whimper.

Kagome said, "Don't worry I won't hurt you I want to help."

Sesshoumaru just nodded, his throat was to dry to talk.

Kagome said, "Just rest and I will take care of everything."

Sesshoumaru wouldn't have taken orders from anyone but he was too tired to argue so he let darkness take him.

Definitions:

Hayama: (spelling?) purity arrows that Kikyou and Kagome can shoot.
