Flower Field by Uni-Mara
Chapter One
"Sesshoumaru?" A sweet voice asked gently. Sesshoumaru kept still against the tree he had been resting under. He didn't need to rest his eyes, or take a nap, or whatever, he just wanted a little time to himself.
"Sesshoumaru?" The voice asked again. Something tickled his nose lightly and the smell of flowers flooded his nose.
"Yes, Kagome-chan?" Sesshoumaru asked as he opened his eyes slowly, if it had been a real emergency Kagome wouldn't have woke him up with a flower.
"Oh, nothing, I just thought you were sleeping." She said as she sat down next to him.
"If I was why didn't you let me sleep?" He asked smiling at her. It was amazing, he smiled more in a few minutes around Kagome than he ever did in his entire life without her.
"I thought youkai never slept." Kagome said unravling Sesshoumaru's tail from his shoulder and laid it on her lap.
"I might have exaggerated when I said never." Sesshoumaru said as Kagome started to stroke his tail.
"Might have?" Kagome asked as Sesshoumaru put his arm around Kagome.
"Depends on how we are referring to sleep." He said leaning down a little. Kagome blushed a little at the implication but kept stroking his tail.
"And how are we reffering to it?" She asked amused.
"Must you question everything?" Sesshoumaru asked and pulled Kagome a little closer.
"No, I don't." Kagome said still playing with Sesshoumaru's tail.
Sesshoumaru brought his hand to Kagome's chin and raised her head so he could see into her eyes. Those eyes always took his breath away, from the very first moment he saw her to today. He bent down to her still staring into her beautiful eyes. They were merely an inch apart when...

"Sesshoumaru-sama?" The high-picthed voice of Jaken was the equivilent of being dumped into an ice cold lake.
"Jaken," Sesshoumaru said quietly.
"Yes Sesshoumaru-sama?" Jaken asked expecting an errand to run or order to be given.
"Disturb my thoughts again and you will die." Sesshoumaru said towering above the toad demon.
"Y-Yes Sesshoumaru-sama." Jaken said as he bowed to Sesshoumaru. Jaken wasn't going to get off that easy. Sesshoumaru kicked Jaken and sent him flying through the air like a football with limbs. Jaken probabaly flew a good mile and a half, clinging onto the Staff of Heads as if it would slow him down any.
"Come Rin, we are leaving." Sesshoumaru said and headed off toward the direction that he had punted his retainer in.
"Yes Sesshoumaru-sama!" Rin called out and followed him with a flower she had picked.
