Summary: A young water-nymph princess dreams a life on the surface world. Her overprotective parents confined her to the sea and told her that interactions between the surface world and sea are forbidden.

Prologue

One the planet earth, where trees and grass lay, where rocks and soil dwell, rested the Erythrean Sea. Its exquisite clear water and mystical prophecy of merfoke inhabiting its waters captivated youkais and humans for centuries.

The legend of the King Neptune ruler of the lost city of Atargatis, father of four gorgeous daughters who process vast amount of holy power.

But since no youkai or human have ever laid their eyes on one, they only believe that it is a myth. Until one mischievous water-nymph enchanted in how youkais and humans live. Disregarding her parent's orders she swims to the surface continuously meeting a frigid, cold inu-youkai and befriends him.

But that's not the heart of the story!

Beneath the pure atmosphere of the Erythrean Sea lies the golden city of Atargatis. Surround by ravishing coral reef and smooth silky sand, Atargatis was the most wonderful place to reside. As King Neptune together with the most gorgeous water-nymph wife Oceanides, rule and watch over their lovely daughters, but Oceanides was a water-nymph. A half fish half human woman, with illuminating scales that envelop their entire bodies, gill slits on each side of their necks and pieces of rubber that went across their fingers just above the knuckles. The feature that took everybody's breath away was two slender legs instead of a tail, but unlike mermaid's nymphs have more magical powers. Unlike his first wife who was a mermaid, Oceanides was a very powerful water-nymph. As the youngest daughter was half-mermen and half-water nymph she was the only one who held special powers. Often tease for her odd heritage she only dreams of what it would be like to live out of the sea, walk like a human, breath air instead of salty water. She continuously goes up to the surface world and learns how to breathe and walk like a human. Knowing their are more then just humans living up their, she will continue doing it until her dreams are in reach.

King Neptune sat proudly in his thrown, knowing that he had done well to protect his sea. His trident's radian glow lit up the sea. Then a beautiful woman emerged from the corridor. Her hair black hair danced around her body as she gracefully swam right beside the king. She was wearing a pear white robe, which went across one of her shoulders and reached down to her ankles.

"Hello love." He whispered lovingly.

The queen smiled. "Dearest, their here."

The doors slowly opened as six mermen swam in all with desire depicted on their faces.

"Welcome gentleman." He announced divinely. He held out his hand. "May I introduce my beautiful wife Oceanides." She gently placed her hand on his.

All the men bowed low.

She slightly bowed her head back. "Welcome gentlemen to our home." She said in a welcoming tone.

"We are all looking forward to meeting your daughters." One of the six mermen said rising his head and glaring contently at the other men.

"Very well." He nodded his head. "Please welcome my eldest daughter Kikyo."

A female mermaid swam out. She had long black touching her knees. Her beautiful hazy eyes sparkled with youth and intelligence. Her tail was dark blue with tortoise sea shells covering her breasts. She swam beside her mother smiling friendly at all the men her father thought would make good husbands.

The men's faces lit up. The eldest daughter was known to be the loveliest and that theory was correct.

"Please welcome my second eldest daughter Adella."

Another female mermaid swam out. She had waist length marine hair. Her olive eyes glisten with knowledge and beauty. Her tail was dark green with golden sea stars covering her breasts. She swam up beside Kikyo with a sexy smile graced on her lips.

The men also agreed that the second sister also held beauty, but not as much as the first.

"Please welcome my third eldest daughter Aqua."

Another female mermaid swam out. She had shoulder length lavender hair. Her purple eyes gleamed with beauty and youth. Her tail was dark purple with a sheet full of sparkling white pears covering her breasts. She swam lazy up to Adella with a content smile on her lips.

She held great beauty also, but not compared to Kikyo.

"Gentlemen please welcome my youngest daughter Kagome."

The men waited for other appearance of another lovely daughter, but that second turned into minutes. Their was no sign of the youngest daughter.

The daughter's all gasped.

"Kagome!" The King yelled fiercely, his trident's glow ignited the entire room with a anger shine.

What looked like a woman was laying stomach first on a huge slanted rock, with her hands resting on her chin and her legs swing in the behind her. Her raven locks danced around in the warm breeze. Her navy depths hung low as she continuously sighing, like she was in a daydream. A smile graced her beautiful soft lips.

Her navy orbs where focus on a small village where men using strange objects to dig into the ground pulling up brower soil.

The woman where trying to calm down their children. As the children scamper around yelling wildly.

To her eyes they where dressed rather strangely. Some had a white cloth material which covered their heads and they wore a long plain fabric with festive colours and designs. It seems to be folded over again and again. She sighed.

"Who cares if they dress strangely." She murmurs softly. "I wonder what it would be like to walk around in a village." She said questionly as she heard the humans call their clan 'village.'

Suddenly she heard a loud splash, which snapped her brutal back to reality.

-SPLASH-

She drove back into the crisp water, as she swam closer to the excessive spashing she also heard screaming.

She surfaced only her eyes, the rest of her body stayed hidden. The water echoed with splashing.

"Someone help!" A young woman in blue fabric screamed. "Help that boy!"

Her eyes glared at a little boy who was struggling to keep to the surface, but he suddenly stop trying as he started to sink.

Kagome plunged her body back into the water and swam so fast it looked like a watery blur. She collected the boy around the waist and noticed he had lost consciousness. She kicked her legs and shot up to the surface. She laid the small boy on the shore only a couple feet away from where the woman was standing.

He boy coughed out a small amount of water, which drew the attention of the young woman. She camp stampeding across the shore towards the boy. Once she reached the sore all she heard was a small splash as she gather the boy into her arms.

She looked out into the sea which was complete calm. The sun's raise gleams down making it shimmer and scintillate.

"What the?_" Was all that came out of her mouth before the boy started coming-to.

The nymph hid behind a huge up-right rock to make sure she acquires the boy before she swam away.

Before she could swim away something beneath stroke her leg.

"Who's their?" She whispered, swirling her body around, but saw nothing.

Suddenly it pushed her forward making the rest of her body plummet into the sea.

-SPLASH-

She whipped around her raven locks surrounding her whole body and a smile graced her lips.

"Copper." She yelled thrilled.

A spotted dolphin with a gold spot on its forehead emerged from behind her.

She seized her head and hugged it fiercely. "What are you doing here?" She said sweetly.

Copper then nudged her. "Look I had to save him; he was just a little boy." She protested.

Talking to sea creatures such as dolphins was one of her gifts. Copper was an energetic dolphin that always wanted to play. Kagome had known her since she was very young, she was her only friend. She looked out for her, something her sisters failed to accomplish.

"I really don't think that Father will notice with choosing husbands__* Her eyes opened wider. "No the husbands, Father was introducing us into the mermen today." She yelled. "He's going to kill me!"

She swam as fast as she could back home, Copper followed right behind her.
