About Me

Oh, I never know what to put in these things...

Well, I'm chalkbutterfly, and as well as being a rabid Sess/Kag fan, I like FFVII, Kyou Kara Maoh, Loveless, Full Metal Alchemist, Nabari no Ou, Code Geass, Death Note, and loads of other anime and manga.

I have tried to draw, but I can't. It was awful. I have tried writing, but am still waiting for inspiration to strike.

I want to be an Evil Overlord one day. I shall rule the world, and then who'll be laughing? Me, that's who! Muahahaha-*coughcough*. Ok, so I still have a ways to go...

While I admit to being a rotten yaoi fangirl, I don't really mind if a pairing is yaoi, yuri or het. I much rather good het to OOC yaoi with no grammar, spelling or plot.

I am a grammar Nazi. Really, I am. No, seriously. I hate badly-written and punctuated fics. While I admire people who speak English as a second language and still do their best to write, please, just ask someone who speaks fluently to go over it. That way the fic improves, and so does your knowledge of English grammar!

I'll beta-read for just about anyone, really. I don't mind smut or lemons, but please, no blatant OOC fics. If you change something in the past, and a character changes because of it, that is fine. If all of a sudden Sesshoumaru decides he wants to marry Kouga and Miroku turns gay for Inuyasha, I will run for the hills. Screaming. And perhaps flapping my arms and squaking, depending on how bad it is.

On a closing note, on my 14th birthday, I ate a really hot chilli pepper. I have no tolerance for hot food, and always had to have natural yogurt with my chicken korma before I became vegetarian. A friend of mine bet me a fiver I couldn't eat it. I ate it. I spent the next half-hour in the bathroom trying to rince my mouth out because ohmygoditburned, and in the end, I had to swallow a glass of milk, which I do not like. She never gave me the fiver.

UPDATE: Well, the move went well, and I'm really enjoying my new college! The Internet was finally put in yesterday, so now I'm back online, and ready to continue beta-reading! Sorry it took so long, there was housing trouble and I had to stay with a friend who had no internet while the builders fixed it.

Hello

Thank you very much for the nice (and very thorough) review!

Yes, that was indeed a crossover with Kenshin. I recommend you finishing it by the way, it's a must in japanimation (and in manga too). The two AOV are very good too, on a more angsty/tragedy note. Especially Tsuioku hen, with Kenshin in his Battousai days (which is indeed the current timeline of the little oneshot)

Usually I like to keep readers in the dark when I write a one shot (to let their imagination fill in the blanks), and in my mind I wasn't supposed to write anything else after this first chapter, but... many people asked me about the storyline, why, how, who, when.... so I might write a continuation, one day, if I find a beta reader patient enough to go through my many mistakes (sorry about that, I claim to be a grammar nazi only in my fist language, which is not English but French, and I don't think it would be very nice of me to publish anything un-proof-read... but I won't make anyone beta my personnal messages, so this might fall in the category of 'loaded with mispellings and grammatical errors' lol).

Just one little tidbit: of course Shippo is not dead, I like writing angst-y stories, but I keep it for my other story 'whispers'... even though it is rather difficult for me to write anything in this vein since my little baby girl was born...

Anyway, may you spend happy holidays.

Bon courage with your moving!

Take care

Feedback from Chalkbutterfly: I do tend to give long reviews, I guess, but I always think I go on a bit, so it's nice to know you liked it!
The Kenshin storyline was great, but I just couldn't make myself like the style. The eyes were just too odd. I might try to come back to it one day, and I have started to like series with styles I disliked at first because I just kept watching, so I hope I can start to like the style!
Your message was fine, no misspellings or grammatical errors, and well done for being a grammar Nazi in French! I got an A in my French GCSE, and the grammar was extremely difficult, but I suppose it's easier then English grammar, which has exceptions to every rule, and exceptions to the exceptions.
If you ever do write a sequel, or even another story, I would be interested in beta-reading! You might already have a beta, but I thought I'd put the offer out there.
I'm glad Shippo survived. He's one of my favorite characters!
My move went well, we just got internet put in, so that's why I'm back online, but thank you!
Happy holidays!

LoL! I'm glad you enjoyed the emotional angst of Fuyu - and though the next one is just as angsty, the last one, Fuyu no Shimekiri is mostly fluff, with a small side of angst.

Glad you liked Sweet Betrayal! And yeah, for this story, I wanted a character close to Kagome besides Inuyasha - it wouldn't have had the same impact if it was Kikyou, since Kagome's not close to her. Inuyasha being with someone else was bad enough to her, but Sango's betrayal was even worse.

Thanks so much for reviewing!

Really? The fifth time!? That's gotta be a record, lol! But I am really honored that you've enjoyed it so much. Of all my stories, The Flower girl is the one that has had the most feedback - over on ff.net, it's had over fifteen hundred reviews. I was amazed, and honored, that I had that many - especially for a story that took less than four months to write. Anyway, thanks for not forgetting this little fic of mine - and I hope you continue to enjoy it for a long, long time to come!

Wow! Glad to see you are enjoying The Flower Girl! And don't worry - the reasons for Rin's peculiar clarity of thought and wisdom for one so young are explained in one of the very last chapters. Enjoy!

Feedback from Chalkbutterfly: Oh, I've read the entire thing already - one of my favorites, actually, and I've read it several times! I just felt it deserved more reviews, and since I was re-reading it for the fifth time, I think, and had set myself a goal to review every fic I read, I thought "well, why not? No time like the present!"
