Prologue
A/N Yes, I changed it to high school. It’s become painfully clear that I know nothing about college since I am not yet there, so I changed it to a private high school (that has dorms for some weird reason that I don’t care to come up with) to make it easier on myself. I hope you all can enjoy anyway
Prologue Part 1: I Hate High School
Despite what many people seemed to think, he did not enjoy school. There were too many parties, too many crazy, thoughtless idiots, too many lazy jerks. Anyone who ever wanted proof of that simply needed to spend a single day on campus. He could guarantee that by the time the day was over, they would regret being born.
There were many failures at his school, many straight ‘F’ students, wannabe gangsters, know-it-all’s, prissy wannabe models, and many other various types of crazy people. Too much drama. However, there were a few good students here and there. He was one of them, but he honestly didn’t see himself as anything special. Just… normal.
Sesshomaru was the best student on campus. He had the highest grades, the highest test scores, perfect attendance, everything. But, as great as that was as far as opening up opportunities for him in the future, there were some major downsides to it that affected him in the present. For one thing, he was constantly being followed around by a bunch of women that he didn’t know, didn’t want to know. They were always trying to get him to go out with them, but he never would.
Truth be told, he had no interest in dating. He’d always been like that. He’d never even had a crush before, let alone fallen in love. He’d certainly never kissed anyone, and he was definitely still a virgin.
He’d heard some of his stalkers say how they wanted to “deflower” him.
He shuddered at the thought.
He silently made his way through the crowd in the building, being extremely careful not to touch anyone. How had this happened anyway? One minute it was just a calm, peaceful gathering of students to hang out before the school year started the next day, and the next everyone was getting drunk and partying. He shook his head in irritation and quickly exited the party, opting to go for a nice, quiet walk in the cool night air.
‘God I hate high school…’
Prologue Part 2: It Won't Be That Bad...
Kagome sighed softly to herself as she continued to sort through her new school supplies. Why was she doing this? What had possessed her to switch schools? Sango. Sango had, saying that she’d be more challenged, have better opportunities. Plus she wouldn’t be alone anymore. Sango was one of her only friends, and she hadn’t seen her since middle school. But the problem was, she’d gotten fairly used to being by herself, and she didn’t know if she could handle her energetic friend like she used to be able to. She had to admit though, she was a bit excited. With a smile, she thought back to the promise she and her friend had made when they were little.
“We’ll always be friends. Always.”
It was a promise she never intended to break. She smiled as she continued to sort and pack her supplies. Maybe this was a good idea after all. If nothing else, she’d get to see her friend again. Sango was right, anyway. She did need to be challenged more. While she wasn’t a top student or anything, she could definitely do better than a mediocre high school that anyone could get into. Getting into that private school might have been the best thing she’d ever done.
The only problem was the dorms. There were gender separations of course, but all the rooms were in the same building. With her luck, she’d end up with some snobby girl for a roommate and a jerk-off guy who wanted to take advantage of every girl he saw for a neighbor. She shuddered at the thought. That was, unfortunately, a rather big possibility. She’d always felt like she was cursed…
She took a deep breath and slowly exhaled.
‘I need to relax. I’m sure it won’t be that bad…’
A/N Yeah, I know it’s different. Sue me. -_-
