Story Starts:

"Aishiteru Sesshomaru." Kagome whispered.

"And I you." Sesshomaru whispered as he trailed his tongue around the sensitive edge of her ear.

That night Kagome gave herself up to a passion and a man she will never forget. It was her first and she did her all to please him. He was her best friend. He was known for being the hottest guy on her college campus and hung with the freak demon with miko powers.

The cracks about her were endless. 'Will she purify or poison you first'!! was the most famous. She was the campus goth and Sesshomaru was deeply in love with her. He was also known as the Ice Prince!! His feeling for her frightened him to no end. He might loose her one day and he didn't want to risk his heart that way.

The next morning Kagome got up, thinking the man of her dreams was still asleep, to her surprise, she was alone. She just shrugged it off, he's a work-alcoholic. She got up, feeling a little sore and dizzy as well. She just figured it was an after effect.

Kagome took a shower and put on pair of baggy black pants and black shirt. She put up her jet black with electric blue highlights hair in high ponytail with her bangs hanging to hide one of her deep violet with red tinge eyes. Her stripes were magenta and she had a bright pink stone in the center of forehead. The symbol of the Shikon No Tama, which meant she was of royal miko and youkai blood. Nobody knew this, but Sesshomaru.

All they knew was that she was a freaky goth chick, with miko and youkai powers, that's all they needed to know. They didn't need to know she had the body of a goddess, nor that she was a ninth degree black belt. Her clothes and style covered up her famous and astounding past.

Kagome began her morning journey to the campus coffee shop and order her favorite French Vanilla Cappuccino, decaf. She sat at her favorite table waiting for her friends to arrive.

Miroku came in with Sango under his arm, next was Inuyasha, with Shiori snuggling into his chest. Finally, it was Kouga with Ayame. They sat down and started gossiping. Kagome took no part in this, she was a listener, not a talker. She nodded when somebody addressed her and she laughed when something was funny. This was all they expected of her and this was all she was giving.

A month went on like this, Sesshomaru didn't talk to her anymore. She thought maybe she did something wrong, and he didn't want anything else to do with her. She had been feeling awful as well, throwing up and blacking out. Then, one morning he walked into the cafe.....

Then, that's when she saw it....Sesshomaru making out with the college slut, Kagura. She couldn't breath. Her world all of suddenly turned black as her friend started yelling her name.

Kagome awoke to her friends staring at her with sympathy and worry.

"Ms. Higurashi, may have a word with you in private?" the doctor asked.

She nodded and her friends left, Inuyasha was last, looking at her with longing and worry. She was like his little sister and she was suppose to be in love with his brother and his brother broke her heart by leading her on while he was dating the school whore. He once thought his brother was above and beyond deceit, but, for once he was wrong about the 'Ice Prince'.

"Ms. Higurashi, I have wonderful news for you, you are not ill, you are pregnant, Congratulations!!" the doctor smiled.

Kagome was so happy!! She always wanted kids, but now...he would have to know...he is the father..no, he has Kagura, he doesn't need me, or my baby...I will raise and love this child...and its father will never know.

"Thank you, you have made the happiest female in the world." Kagome showed a genuine smile. She really was happy, but she would have to be a single parent now.

'What have I done??' Sesshomaru stared as Kagome hit the ground. He pushed Kagura away, in which, she fell on ass. He ran to Kagome only to have his brother push him out of the way and the rest of her friends glaring heatedly at him as his brother carried her to Shiori's mini van. They piled in drove away to a hospital most likely.

Sesshomaru watched them leave, it hurt beyond belief, but his pride would not allow him to follow. He turned to see Kagura huff as she rose with the help of Naraku, who smacked the taste out of her mouth. Obviously, the stunt they just pulled didn't sit well with her fiancé!!! She glared at Sesshomaru as she turned to follow Naraku. Sesshomaru shrugged, he had better things to think about than how would a whore repair her marriage.

Sesshomaru sat down in a table in the corner and opened his laptop. He had work to do, but he couldn't focus, he was too busy thinking about Kagome. She was his only true friend and the best lover he ever had, and that's what scared him.

They had been friends since they learned how to walk!! Now, they were lovers and he was deeply in love with her. She was perfect in every aspect of the word, but he couldn't risk having his heart on the line. She would never break it, that's not what he was worried about, she was his weakness, he couldn't afford a weakness.

In the business he was going into, love and compassion was not an option. He had to have a iron will with a ice heart. Kagome would melt his will and defrost his heart with the flutter of an eyelash and sweet smile. She was a weakness he simply could not afford, so he got rid of her.

It was much more difficult than he was willing to admit. Kagome was the best thing to ever happen to him and now she was gone. Little did he know, it would be the biggest mistake of his life.

*9 months later*

After Kagome left the University, moved back in the house with her brother and her mother. Her grandfather has passed away. She explained what happeded, and her mother understands. She helps Kagome get back on her feet and through the pregnancy.

During this time, Kagome had became the CEO of major business corporation. The man who own it had become a very close friend of her grandfather and to her. He died and left her as the sucessor to the incorporation in his will since he had no children of his own or family to speak of.

Kagome had worked hard to earn respect and she was given it in spades. She was the perfect example for the single mom of today. She hadn't asked for help from no one, especially not another male.

Although, many offered, Kagome told them she had been fine before she met them and she would be fine after them as well. She had a reputation for being independent and strong. Many males wanted her, and they also wanted to kill the male who left her. Anyone with eyes could see she was perfect.

Kagome took pride in knowing she wasn't repulsive as she first thought. She had no other lover other than her work. It consumed her day and night.

Today, she was merging her own company Miko Inc., her biochemistry company that made the newest and most break-through medicines of this era with Inu Corp., a very successful technology company. They were discussing this over dinner, because Kagome needed rest. Standing and talking to reporters while you're pregnant and in Stiletto pumps was not her best idea!!

The gentlemen in front of her was extremely handsome and kind. He looked familiar, but she could not fit the face.

"Hello Mr.Taisho, it's a pleasure to meet you!!" Kagome greeted as she tried to sit down. Mr.Taisho helped her into her seat before he took his.

"No, please call me Toga." as Toga took his seat.

"Thank you for the help, it's still a little hard to see, when you look like a bloated whale!!" Kagome smiled happily.

"I'm happy to help, It's a joy to help and know such beautiful young female, I'm not sure if this my place to ask, but who is the father?" Toga asked.

"Umm..he is not with me, he doesn't know about the baby, so..but, his name is Sesshomaru....Sesshomaru Taisho, you to might be related, he left me for another female , her name was Kagura, before I could tell him...Toga, are you alright..?" Kagome reached across the table, Toga suddenly turned really pale while his eyes were tinting red.

"Ms. Higurashi, you are positive he is the father?" Toga wasn't about to kill his son without a motive first.

"Absolutely, he was my first and my last, why?" Kagome watched as Toga gently clasped her hand and pulled her closer. He sniffed her and realized she wasn't lying, he couldn't smell nothing but his son in her, now it was a mix of his son and her scent because of the baby. He could also tell that she was fertile and healthy. She was also successful.

Shimatta, what was his son thinking!! This female was wealthy and fateful. She still hadn't taken another lover after his son and she still bore his pup, why in the name of Kami did Sesshomaru leave this female for a whorish bitch like Kagura.

Even after she married and mated Naraku, she still had a reputation for sleeping around. Toga looked Kagome over from where she was, she looked beautiful, very eye pleasing and judging by the stares and whispers they got on the way in from other males, he wasn't the only one who thought so.

He gently placed his hand on her stomach and felt the baby kick. Kagome only laughed a little as the pups reacted to his hand. Toga had tears in his eyes, his grandchild was going to be born into this world without knowing it's father or it's grandparents. He would not have any of that.

"Kagome, I'm sorry to cut this short, but I must insist that you stay at my home tonight, I would like you to meet my mate." Toga helped her out of her seat. Kagome winced as she slipped her shoes on. Toga caught this and picked her up and carried her out. He told the waiter to add it to his tab as he walked out. Toga gently set Kagome down in the back of the limo as he told the driver to take them to his home.

"Toga, I do not understand...." Kagome was cut off.

"You are the mother to my grandchild, I had no idea existed, and neither does my son, but he will make up for the pain and hurt he has caused, this I promise to you and my grandchild."

Kagome was stunned silent. That's why he looked so familiar, he was Sesshomaru's father. She felt so stupid, how could they not be father and son, they looked almost identical!!

"Please, Toga, I do not want to cause any trouble, I just want to take care of my babies, father or not." Kagome looked about ready to cry. She couldn't face Sesshomaru, she was disgrace to him, he deserved someone like Kagura, beautiful and high class. Kagome was beautiful, but not as glamorous, she was wealthy, but she was not flashy about it.

"Iie, this is not acceptable, no grandchild of mine will be raised fatherless and that is final, do not worry, Ms. Higurashi, I promise my son will not harm you again." Toga placed gentle hand on her cheek.

"Dozo, you are my child's grandfather, call me Kagome." She smiled gently.

"Very well, Kagome, you are welcome into my home at any time, you have our support and alliance in any way we can help." Toga smiled as he saw her eyes light up.

"You agree to merge?" Kagome asked excitedly.

"It's the least I could do for my daughter!!" Toga pulled Kagome into a gentle hug as the car came to a halt.

The chauffer open the door as Toga picked Kagome up and carried her to the front door. Shiori answered the door as she saw her father-in-law carrying a very big looking female.

"Father, who is this?" Shiori tried to get a good look at the female as Toga sat her on the couch.

"Higurashi, Kagome, this is Shiori, she is my youngest son's ma...." Toga didn't finish before Shiori pushed him out of the way to get to Kagome.

"Kags...I...so..happy to see you, oh my, your pregnant, since when?" Shiori asked as she hugged the life out of Kagome as she rubbed Kagome's stomach.

"9 months now." Kagome whispered as she stroked Shiori's hair gently.

"That means...the day at the hospit...and you left....that means, Sesshomaru is the father?" Shiori was going to rip his head off when Kagome nodded slowly.

"What's all the ruckus, can't you see...Kag..Kagome...is that you?" Inuyasha jumped the stairs as he raced to the couch. He was about to pull her into a bear hug when he saw her stomach.

"It's his..isn't it?" Kagome once again nodded slowly as she saw Toga run up the stairs. Soon, he returned with a beautiful youkai female. She was listening to what Toga was saying and by the time she made half way down the stairs, she jumped the rest of them and ran over to Kagome.

"Oh..my...dear sweet child, how have you managed..may I feel the baby?" Kagome picked up the female's hand and gently placed it on her stomach as the baby moved and began to kick. The female fell to her knees and started to cry.

"I'm so sorry...my child, you carry my grandchild, for 9 months, all on your own...while making an astounding career, you make so proud to call you my daughter, whether my son will take care of his responsibilities or not, you are a part of this family from now on, do you hear me, you are my daughter, who carries my grandchild, you have made me happy beyond belief and you have my eternal apologizes for what my son has done to you, but I promise he will make up for his mistakes, I promise you." Mrs. Taisho sat down next to Kagome as tears silently streamed down her face as well as Kagome's.

"To think, my son would abandon you, I am so ashamed of him, I raised him better than this, Gomen Nasai, my child, he will pay, I promise." Mrs. Taisho stroked Kagome's hair as Shiori placed her hand on Kagome's stomach. She almost jumped up from her spot when the baby kicked once more. Kagome laughed as Inuyasha took Shiori's hand in his and kissed it gently.

Toga took Kagome's hand as he sat down next to her. Soon, Kagome silently cried herself to sleep on Mrs. Taisho's shoulder.

"Toga, how could we not have known, she carries our grandchild and we did not know, even worse, our son left her for another female, a whore at that, Toga, this beautiful and pure child was betrayed and now she is still willing to carry his child, what has our son done!!" Kumiko whispered.

"We will do all we can for her, Sesshomaru will make amends for what he has done and the shame he has brought to this family, I promise, now let's get her to bed, she must be exhausted, I don't see how she managed on her own for nine months with no help, yet she is very famous and successful female. She is amazing, how could our son be so foolish?" Toga picked up Kagome and walked upstairs.

Toga placed her in the spare bedroom right beside his mate's and his bedroom that way they could keep an eye on her. She would be due any day now, if she was 9 months along. He placed her down on the bed as his mate picked out a loose and comfortable night gown.

Toga left so she could change her, when she said it was o.k., he came back in. Toga looked down at the girl with so much hurt and sympathy in his eyes. She looked heaven sent with her hair fanned around her and her hand on her stomach protectively. Kumiko kissed her on the forehead gently as she grabbed her mate's hand and left the room silently as possible.
