A Heart By Any Other Name
I do not own Inuyasha and Company, no matter how happy it would make me. Rumiko Takahashi does.

Kagome was stretched out on her stomach with a child on either side of her as they all colored the large picture she'd brought just for that purpose. Lately Sesshoumaru had been bringing Rin to play with Shippo and Kagome had a great time with the two energetic and affectionate youngsters.
"Hey Rin, why don't you color that heart there red?"
Sesshoumaru, who'd been watching in silence while feigning indifference, frowned slightly. Why would there be a heart in the drawing? Deciding he needed to check it out to ensure that what they were coloring was appropriate for his young ward he took a few steps forward and examined the shape Rin was slowly turning red with the odd 'crayons' Kagome had supplied.
"Hn."
Kagome craned her neck to look over her shoulder at him. "Something wrong?"
"This Sesshoumaru believed you to be educated but apparently I was misled," he said in his emotionless voice.
It was Kagome's turn to be confused and she turned around and sat up. "What do you mean?"
"That shape in no way resembles a heart." This time his condescending attitude seeped into his tone. When she raised a brow at him, almost mirroring his trademark expression, he continued. "This Sesshoumaru has seen more than enough to be sure."
Kagome's eyes widened in surprise and her shoulders began to shake. Soon her uncontrollable laughter could be heard all over Inuyasha's Forest. "Heart...shaped!" she forced out between giggles while the demon glared at her.
