Heard Through Plastic Casing by Smittee
Heard Through Plastic Casing
I do not own Rumiko Takashi's character, Toynami merchandise, TCFC merchandise, or any other toys that are mention, nor do I write this for a profit. I only bought the toys at a store, exception for Kagome, who I don't have. Although, Smittee is me, Tenco and Ginger are the names of precious children toys I have, or once have had. Just so you know, I am a pack rat, and I do feel bad, if someone tells me to throw away one of my toys, for being broken. (I don't throw them away.)
Smittee yawned, and stretched in her chair. She gets up from the computer, after shutting it down. It is late, and she is exhausted. Looking around, she hopped and balanced to places, seeing as her room was still quite the mess. She left, accidentally leaving the light on, as she left the room, too tired to clean off her bed and sleep there.
The room was quiet, with the sounds of typing gone from it, and the sometimes sighs, from the owner of the room. One of her toys, a Park Kid doll, began to move. She moved forward, slowly moving her top half back and forth, to see that the close was clear. When she was sure of it, she picked up her heavy, plastic shoes, being made that way, and stood up her rag doll body, with ease, from the years of being around. She was the same age as her owner, and so was one of the oldest toys there. Her name was Ginger, and she made it her place there, to help everyone who joins. Using her rubbery hands, she picked up the plastic guitar, in which would only play real music, when a toy would pick it up.
Ginger made sure the strings were in tune, before she began to play said guitar. Everyone has heard of toys coming to life, after the owner has left. There have been many stories about it. As the song plated, other toys began to wake, and yawn from their slumber. Even though they've been able to stay awake longer than they use to, they would still rather be played with by their human friend. Alas, as people grow up, they find they have less time to play with their dolls and toy trucks. The only different was that Smittee was an owner that would still play with them, from time to time; and, they were glad about it.
There were only a few toys that had never awakened from their sleep. Smittee, being the anime collector she was, didn't open certain boxes, so that she could keep them nice and together, unlike how she use to open the boxes, and then lose them in the mess. Ginger wished that, one day, these many boxes would be opened, and these toys would awaken.
Ginger stopped playing, only to sigh a moment. She closed her eyes, thinking about how she shouldn't let that get her down. She looked from the tea cup shelf, which became her home, when the dreaded mouse invasion happened. Just thinking of that made her happy, just to know Smittee cared about her so much. Looking down, she saw everyone going about their daily routines. Ever since Smittee stopped cleaning, it made things a lot more interesting around there. There were now great mountains to climb. The toys could finally make it to the higher books on the bookshelf, to check on the wounded toys that Smittee couldn't fix, but could bring herself to part with, as she felt that, even though broken, they were still precious in every way.
She then looked up, at the porcelain figures above her, and the faerie dolls as well. They were already flying around, going to help others, and just to enjoy the flight. Ginger then heard a ruckus. She looked over. On top of the anime action figure self, there was a new addition. She looked up at a faerie.
"Excuse me. Could you go down, and find out who that is," she asked them, seeing a nod, and watching her fly down. From where she could tell, this new toy was made to be like what she was based on, a very powerful person. 'Just like Tenco,' thought Ginger, as she began to feel sad.
Tenco was named such, after the name of the magical girl toys title of "Tenco". Seeing as it was as pretty as her, she was named that. She was about the same age as Ginger, being around for so long. Then, one day she vanished. No one, not even Smittee knew where she had gone. It was a sad day for everyone, especially the action figure who had fallen for her.
'I will never let that happen again,' thought Ginger. Then, the faerie returned, to tell her the news.
"Her name is Kagome. She's from that show that Smittee likes-'Inuyasha' was it? Anyways, she found her at a garage sale, and cleaned her up, when she got home."
"From 'Inuyasha'?" Ginger looked up on the wall, seeing a boxed in toy there, with others hanging. There, as quiet as the person he is based on, the lone figure rest peacefully in his box. She then read the name on the box, after grabbing up the plastic glasses, from another toy that didn't need them anymore.
"Sess-ho-ma-ru. Sesshomaru?" She thought about, when Smittee would watch the show with her. Then, all came to her. 'Wait...He's a bad guy in the series! Well, Smittee doesn't' think so, but many others do.' She then looked to Kagome, seeing how happy she was. 'Maybe it is a good thing that he is in the box...'
The sound of plastic being hit over and over again was heard from overhead. Ginger looked up, wondering what it could be. Her blue orbs were well seen, as she widened her eyes. There, she could see the Sesshomaru toy trying to push through the plastic; his eyes now turned red.
"Oh no," thought Ginger. Never would she think she would not want a boxed toy to wake up. She asked a faerie to get other, and help him down, so he doesn't fall from a great height. As they went to do so, Ginger climbed down, and headed to the ground, where the faeries placed him down. He was still fighting to get out of the box, though his eyes were amber once more. She could see he was yelling at her, and she had to take time, to read his lips.
"This...Sesshomaru...w-wants...ooooo-uuu-t...this...instance..." Ginger thought about the consequences of that. If she did, Smittee would figure out that someone let him out, and would become suspicious. 'She already has to deal with 'the Sight'. It would be too much, for her to have to deal with this too,' she thought. 'From the look of it, he will be getting out soon enough. He's as powerful as his true self...only smaller.' Then, making up her mind, she nodded. "Don't worry,' she said, as she hoped he could read lips. "I'm going to get you out!" She then started to pull at where the plastic met the cardboard, and soon it was coming loose. Sesshomaru pushed at it from the inside, making it a faster process. Then, pulling with all her might, Ginger fell over backwards, the plastic casing flying over her, and behind.
Ginger shook her head, with her eyes closed, feeling a little dizzy. She then lifted herself, with her rag doll arms, and opened her eyes, to see him looking around.
"This Sesshomaru can sense the miko's presences, but she seems quite far away."
Ginger then stood up, holding up her hand towards him. "Wait just a moment! What do you plan on doing, once you get over to her?!"
Sesshomaru raised a brow, looking at Ginger. "It is none of your business."
Ginger placed her hands on her hips. "Is too my business, especially since I'm making sure no harm comes to anyone here!"
"Then, if you must know, this Sesshomaru wishes to get to know the miko."
Ginger blinked. "Get to know?"
"Yes. This Sesshomaru had heard someone talking, while I slept. She was reading something out loud, sometimes to others. Each time she read out, I began to dream about what she was saying. It was always about This Sesshomaru and the miko, and how we could get together. At first, I thought about how absurd it was, to ever think I would. After some time though, this Sesshomaru began to realize how absurd not it was. So, this Sesshomaru would like to speak with the miko."
Ginger couldn't help but smile, after the surprise wore off. 'It must have been Smittee reading fan fictions that cause this,' she thought. She took her hands off her waste, and nodded to him.
"Very well. I will help you get to her. After all, I know this terrain better than anyone else!"
Sesshomaru nodded in return, looking upon the other toy. "This Sesshomaru will accept your knowledge."
And so began the journey, to find Kagome, since the fairies decided that they were too tired of helping. "Don't get angry, Sesshomaru. You have to realize they get really tired of flying. Remember that they helped me keep you from falling earlier. Otherwise, you might be missing a body limb."
Sesshomaru looked to her. "I understand then." He thought, as he looked upon the terrain they would be walking. 'I would cross a whole house and so on, if it would bring me to this lovely creature called Kagome, and learn more about her.'
I actually really like this one. I may even make a part two, if I find myself able to. After all, that would require me going into my room, and studying the terrain, which may in turn kill me, or have me break something. Who knows?
