He seemed so at home in the snow.

Cold, sharp edges and fluttering white sleeves, tempered with the softness of shining fur. Noiseless footsteps, whether or not they were deadened by the blanket of snowfall. An icy chilling stare that threatened to freeze from the inside out.

Kagome traced the crescent moon on his brow with chilled fingers.

"This should be a snowflake," she murmured, little puffs of air against his neck.

He sniffed in disdain.

"This Sesshoumaru would never be represented by something so ephemeral."

And she smiled as she tasted the truth of his words.

"Never," she affirmed.
