It's an interesting premise, but a bit shaky. It's also short. If this is supposed to be a chapter story, then each chapter has to have a minimum of about 700 words, I'm pretty sure.
If you find yourself a BETA, and you lengthen out the chapters substantially, this might be a pretty good story.
