This is a nice fic but you used "in lieu of" incorrectly. The phrase means "instead of" or "in place of." You used it here: "Kagome carefully laid out the tea things on the table in lieu of his arrival" as, I'm guessing from context clues, "in preparation for" or something along those lines. Also, though some of your, er, Japanese vocabulary was definable by context clues, some of them were not so I'd advise, maybe, including the definitions somehow, such as a glossary or simply putting it in the text. Otherwise, good job.
