Love the story. The almost kiss was such a tease

This was such a wonderful chapter. A good way to start again for them. Haine gets his mark and knows who he belongs to. That was sweet. 

Oh this was so touching I loved the way Haine proudly said this is my father this is something he needed that they both needed in order to prove who Haine ancestry he belongs to...  I hope with Kagome's help and between her and Sesshomaru can overcome what she did in the past at least now Sesshomaru knows she was scared.  Wonder if he will tell Sensei what he thought as well.  Loved the well scene it was Sesshomaru's way to brake the tension in the air.  Oh the fun they would have if it did open up to them....  Thank you for the chapter it was awesome.

Thanks so much for updating. Finally, a step in the right direction! Kagome and Sesshomaru are finally talking! Gotta say, Kagome's been really  frustrating to read the last few chapters...the way she completely dropped Sesshomaru and Haine. I was delighted to see their relationship develop so had been happy to see SxK's kiss...that was till she ran out of their lives. Honestly would've preferred they didn't kiss and she'd stayed in their lives instead. Anyway, can't wait for more. I really love this story. It's my favorite one of all your stories :) Thanks

Thank you for that much anticipated update.  I was so ingrossed in ready my daughter scared the shit out of me.  I cried thru the whole chapter. I hope things continue to improve with sessh and kag. But what sess mama got to do with what comes next???? Can't wait! 

Wahhhhhhhh THIS IS SO GOOD!!! I just burst through all the chapters and it's bringing back my appreciation for this pairing, I feel a relapse coming on. UGH. Love love love it. I'm especially fascinated by the Kikyo-Kagome parallels that are coming back to haunt them, it seems like Kagome really does have issues with ex's, huh? I have full faith in them though. It's really fun to read a modern mellowed out Sesshoumaru, and I both really like and really hate the fact that you address that the brothers and fam went through the world wars, it's so sad but it's true and no one ever addresses it in modern fics because it's sad BUT THAT'S WHY IT'S GOOD. *ahem* but fabulous job. Definitely one of the best modern portrayals of these two, and I really like the set-up of the universe that allows demons and humans to coexist. However, I am curious if Shippo will ever make an appearance? I imagine that he would also have wanted to reconnect with Kagome and if InuYasha is still around, surely they would have found each other? It makes me sad to think he was simply lost during the wars or something similar, even a small mention that he's doing okay would be nice (unless I just missed it lol). Had a really good time, can't wait for their relationship to further develop!

At least Kagome told Sesshomaru the truth hopefully they can build a relationship with time and not have Inu Yasha's wife bring things up like it not her family or she's fitting into a ready made one or however she told Kagome at the estate.  Anyways, I'm glad Honaka is out of the picture.  Wonder what will happen now.
