Hello everyone! I was on a bit of a hiatus from the fanfiction world ever since a Single Spark went into archive mode. It was the first place I posted my work and thus it had a major impact on me when it closed, as it holds a very special place in my heart. However, I have been inspired once more to write, and hopefully I will continue it this time. I have some other stuff not posted here on A Single Spark under the same pen name if you want to look at those. I'll probably get around to having all my stories here. Eventually.

A little about me: my name is Lauren. I am (almost) 19 and will be attending the University of Oregon this fall! I am half black and half white (yes, I can have a 'fro should I choose, but I prefer it straight). Writing is my passion in life and I have been reading and writing since I was in elementary school. I have a bit of a vampire fetish and enjoy reading a good vamp book anytime (although I didn't much care for the Twilight Series). If I wasn't a writer, I would probably do graphic design. I draw some, but I'm far from where I would feel comfortable sharing any with...well anyone. I love all kinds of music, particularly Cuban, good dance beats, and even some hip-hop from time to time. I am a virgo in every possible way. Seriously, it's freaky how accurately attributes of virgo sum me up. I am very opinionated and I love having conversations (and polite arguments) with people, so long as neither of us get too intense. I am a pretty hardcore liberal. My favorite show is currently Glee. My favorite food is the crab fettuccine at Red Lobster (and their rolls - *DROOLS*) and my favorite desert is chocolate satin pie from Marie Calendar's. I believe in firmer gun control policies and in women being strong and standing up for themselves. I am a self-proclaimed socialist. (Don't blame me!) I just find it a much more effective form of government than the one we have now. Asians are the most awesome race of people I have ever met. Cats are the best. I love to laugh and especially to make other people laugh. I'm kind of a nerd, but I'm proud of it. XD
